Jovana Trivunović is an associate at Gecić Law in Belgrade, specialized in Competition / State aid, EU trade, and Tax law.
Prior to joining the firm, Jovana completed an internship at accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, and tax advisory firm. Jovana earned her LL.B. from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law (2019) where she graduated among the best in her class. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Business Law and Specialization studies for Tax Advisory at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law. She is a member of the landmark professional development program “AmChamps – Young Leaders in Change”, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce. While at university, Jovana was engaged in the GTTC Universities Project “The impact of the MLI on countries treaty policy ” (2019), under the support of the IBFD. She took part in the “CEE Vienna International Tax Law Summer School” (2019) at Wirtschaftsuniverstität Wien and “Vis Moot School Switzerland” (2019) at the University of Zürich.
Jovana was recognized numerous times for her exceptional achievements, such as Best students Awards by the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, and Award for the achieved success at recognized competitions in the country and abroad Foundation for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia (2015). She was awarded a scholarship “Dositeja” from the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia (Foundation for Young Talents). She is fluent in English, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian.
